Yelm Writers’ Circle Gets Me August 25th

Yelm Writers’ Circle leader Sara Steinberg has invited me to share my writer’s journey at the Timberland Library in Yelm on Thursday, August 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

During the time, I’ll be talking about book writing, copy and content writing, self-publishing, and what’s been done to market my books.

I’ll also spend about 20 minutes reading excerpts from DeForest Kelley Up Close and Personal and answering questions for about a half hour.

So it’s going to be a fun, fast time.

I’ll bring copies of all of my titles in case attendees decide to engage in that way.

Sara has already read ‘Serval Son’ (and loved it) and half of ‘DeForest Kelley Up Close and Personal’ (Edward’s copy) but she wants her own color copy now. I will inscribe it to her when we get together on the appointed date.

I will only have black and white copies with me, so if anyone prefers a color copy, be sure to buy it at YellowBalloonPublications.com right away so it arrives in time to bring to the event.

Sara is going to see if she can get additional gigs for me in Yelm and Olympia, too (thank you, Sara!)–ones that pay speakers to appear and share their experiences and/or expertise.

This appearance for Sara will be a freebie. She’s the friend of a dear friend and we have a lot in common.

I’ll only make money on this event if (big if!) attendees actually buy some books…

But it’s nearby and won’t cost much to get there and back…and it will be fun…so everyone should end up happy, either way!
