Ordered New Brochures Today

I ordered 1000 copies of a new tri-fold brochure today.  It’s at least 70% testimonials. The hourly rate has been lowered to reflect the new reality that I don’t need to make as much to keep my head above water as before since I’m officially semi-retired as of this month and getting Social Security plus the smaller of two pensions. (When I turn 65,  I’ll get a larger pension added to what I’m receiving now.)

Eli (Eli Struck of Enlighting Struck Design) had the new brochures ready within an hour of when I sent him the changes. It didn’t take long because the overall look is the same.

99.9% of the sales copy came out completely. It was replaced by the testimonials of eight recent clients. One of the clients was so thrilled that he wrote me two testimonials; both are in the brochure because you can feel his excitement–it’s contagious! There are five additional testimonials on another panel, too.

I figured, why not let my deliriously happy clients do the talking? After all, who are prospective clients most likely to believe–me, or the people I write copy for? Bingo!

It’s what my customers say about me that makes all the difference when someone is on the fence about hiring me, right?  So I decided to let them do the talking.  With this newest brochure, I essentially just shut up, showcase the testimonials I’ve received recently, point them to my website, and offer my contact information. When someone is ready to put themselves in good hands, they’ll call me. I’ll be here!

No pressure. Just perfect!
