I’m grateful that…
- peer pressure has never influenced me
- I can be me without worrying about what other people think
- the friends I have are true friends
- I have free speech
- I don’t need political correctness to verbalize my thoughts or feelings (that is, I’m not prejudiced toward or intolerant of much of anything except prejudice and intolerance)
- I was born in a nation whose relative ease and standard of living has been adequate to keep my head above water (although this hasn’t been the case for most people of color, and I recognize and am working to change that)
- women before me fought and died to give me the right to vote and to be taken more seriously–we’re still fighting for that second objective, sadly…
- and so much more!
I’m grateful for…
- good health
- the roof over my head
- the people who have helped me
- the people who have hurt me (when it was to help me)
- my sisters and pets
- my friends
- my deep desire to keep learning
- my optimism
- my usually-cheerful attitude
- my sense of humor
- and so much more!
