Feeling Groovy!

Today has been a good day. I spent most of it with my power partner, Lisa Twining Taylor (DancingGoatWebDesign.com). One of our colleagues, Dr. Matondo Wawa, took us to lunch at Chili Thai in Puyallup as a belated birthday outing for Lisa (her birthday was October 8th). Thank you, Dr.Mat!

After that we spotted an estate sale and stopped by there, where I got an awesome lawnmower for free that just needed a bolt replaced to fix it completely (the bolt that held the blade), an amazing camera tripod for just $5, and a fabulous outdoor Glacier’s Edge Screen House (94″ x 94″ x 82″) for just $25.  The lawnmower looks brand new. The fellow who owned it is moving to Texas and figured it would cost more to ship than to get a new one there if he needs one.

I wrote some copy for a client to make sure we’re a good match before I continue the project for him. He is swamped but says he looked at it briefly, thinks it’s a great start, and that he’ll get back to me this weekend when he has time to catch his breath.  So that’s underway and looking good.

There isn’t a lot of other news. I was saddened to learn than Dr. Wayne Dyer passed away in June and I didn’t even know it. I just downloaded his latest book, “Children’s Memories of Heaven” and the co-author mentioned at the end of the book that Dr. Dyer had died.  It was quite a shock. I would have expected that to be national news. If it was, I missed it. (I don’t watch TV but I am online a lot and catch much of what’s going on.)  I read many of his books and enjoyed his PBS specials.  He was on my wavelength, for sure–a kindred spirit.  His new book is thought-provoking and satisfying. Kids who retain memories of their lives before this one (before birth, past lives, etc.) are fascinating little beings. Sadly, most of them forget when they start to access the limiting belief systems they find here on the earth.  None of them mention or describe God except as a bright light that is pure love.  They said they can “talk” to God without saying a word; the thoughts go back and forth without words. And kids of all cultures and religions (long before they ever know what culture or religion they will be trained up in) have  “before I came down here” memories and past lives. It’s an intriguing read. Many say they were asked to choose their parents.  Some of those stories are extremely heart-warming, especially the ones that report that “I was in your tummy once before, but something went wrong (miscarriage, tubal pregnancy, whatever) and I wasn’t born then, so I had to come back again. I was determined!”

Guess that’s about all for this time!
