Vibrational Levels and Mental, Physical Health

Today at a networking meeting I heard from a Reiki master.  She talked about how our vibrational levels influence our destinies and our health.  Now, none of it was new to me. I’ve always been keenly attuned to my own and other peoples’ vibrational levels and how they affect the people around me and them. I suspect I developed a lot of friendships because I am a high vibration person–usually positive, happy-spirited, and lively. I have fun being alive.

 

This doesn’t mean I never get down. Oh, were that true.  I suspect I’m a high vibration person because my “lows” are so low that I don’t want to go there at all!  I have never medicated myself in any way (except maybe for comfort food) to flatten out my vibrational levels because I think we’re here to feel things and to sense things, and we can’t do that when we’re drugged.

 

But one thing I mentioned today is that I think we’re all born with high vibrational levels–feeling peace, joy, and happiness with just occasional anomalies (when we’re hungry, wet, cold, too hot, or feeling another’s emotions as babies)–but we’re damaged by others as we grow. We start out being adored (in most cases!) and end up being largely ignored or discounted as we grow.  We start getting negative feedback–the low vibrational influences of other people–and over time our own vibrational levels begin to lower. Not always.

 

The good news is that we are made of, and possess, at our essence, beneath the wounding, high vibrational energies. We are dreamers and doers in those hidden places where we are still whole and free of others’ druthers. Wounding can be caused by fear, distrust, criticism, and  a lot of other things.  Our job is to realize that what other people say about us–good or bad–are just their illusions about us–mostly reflected illusions.

 

For example…

 

If someone is jealous of you, instead of confessing “I’m jealous of you,” they’ll do their best to make you feel somehow lacking, less than, unlikable–conditions of lack that they are wishing on you. There’s no basis in fact.  They’re delusional. But you get the sense that they’re wishing you no good, even if they don’t say a word.  Their body language is usually all you need to recognize it.

 

So what I got out of today’s discussion is that each of us is responsible for our vibrational levels. If a sad sack or a malcontent enters your domain, you have a few choices–stay and endure his or her lower vibrational patterns, try to elevate his or her vibrational level if you sense it might help him or her gain the victory over prevailing present conditions, or get outta Dodge so your own vibrational level can sustain itself more easily.

 

“Misery loves company” is a truism.

 

So does happiness…

 

And love…

 

And optimism…

 

And possibility.

 

Choose your vibrational level.  Don’t let someone else choose it for you.  If you do, it won’t be yours.  You can borrow a good vibrational level and use it to re-tune your own upward, but then do your best to memorize how it feels–because at some time in your life, as a child, perhaps as far back as a newborn–it was yours, too.  You just have to recognize and reclaim it.
